Privacy and data protection
In short: this website uses no cookies, analytics or ads. The details you send with an enquiry are only used to answer you and for your stay.
1. Who controls your data

2. What we collect and why
Enquiries. The form on the Contact page stores nothing on the website: the button opens your own email app with a ready message that you send yourself. From that email we use your name, email address, phone number (if given), dates, number of guests and your message to answer you and prepare your stay. The legal basis is your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The Bentral calendar. The availability calendar on the Contact page is the Bentral booking system the house uses. It only loads when you open the "Calendar and price" tab; your browser then connects to Bentral's servers, which see your IP address. If you book in the calendar, Bentral processes your details on behalf of the house; see the privacy policy at bentral.com.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses in short-lived logs for security and to deliver the pages.
3. What we don't use
No cookies, no analytics, no ads or tracking. Fonts are served from this site and the map is a static image (data © OpenStreetMap), so viewing the site sends no requests to Google. The "Open in Google Maps" link only opens Google when you click it.
4. How long we keep data
Enquiries are kept as long as needed to answer you and for your stay; invoicing and guest registration data are kept as long as the law requires.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to object and to data portability. To exercise them, write to chalet.vrsnik@gmail.com. You can lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si).
